Just a small post about my latest ork nob, I still have a couple of details to finish on the face, but I can’t restrain myself from posting this one any longer. 😃 It’s a mix of parts from the Flash Gitz, Killa Kan, and Ork Nobz boxes.

This was initially going to be a normal nob, I wanted to use a specific head from the flash gitz box because it had a nice looking eyepatch, but there was one problem. I had cut its hat off to use for another mini, so I was left with a head missing its top… This is why I like orks, now I get to come up with a solution to the strangest of problems. I started to box in the head with armour plates and give it an iron jaw, pretty standard procedure for an ork. Here one of the snazzgun exhaust pieces came in clutch as it was L shaped and the perfect size to go on the head.

I first had the head completely closed off in the back, just stuffed it full of green stuff, but this felt a bit vanilla for an ork waddling around with three missing limbs and an eye… so I removed that part of its cranium.

It only makes sense that the back of its skull blew out when the bullet entered through the eye, this guy isn’t wearing an eyepatch for clout. They got the Ghazghkull treatment! 🤷

The gun arm turned out really quite well. I managed to carve it so that what used to be an armband appear as stitches or staples holding the arm together. The exhaust pipe at the elbow was an attempt to balance the front heavy forearm, I think that too turned out well.

The mechanical leg is a gun monopod from that flash gitz box. I cut the leg off and made some drooping fabric scraps out of greenstuff to hide the stump/leg transition.

The left ”arm” is the rocket launcher off a combi weapon mounted on a piece of plastic rod topped with a killa kan pauldron piece, nothing fancy.

All in all a very fun modelling job, and now I’ve got a spare ork foot and hand laying about begging to be part of further shenanigans.
